“Call you when we get there!” Sara said. With a wave of her hand and a smile on her face, she skipped out of the front door.
As a child, I helped my grandmother in the garden. There was always something to do. Mostly fighting pests.
I wasn’t in Kansas anymore. Well, I have never been to Kansas, but you get my point. This place definitely was outside the Western hemisphere.
I was new on the job, still on probation period, still figuring out what I was supposed to be doing, and still keen on following all the rules to the letter.
When my feet hit alien ground, I totally understood this Strongarm guy I eavesdropped on so many centuries ago.
